Monika Hejduková was a publican, businesswoman, Romani community-life organiser in Horní Podluží and occasional fiction writer.
She made her debut with the short stories “Dávný slib” / “An Ancient Promise” and “Modrý ptáček” / “The Blue Bird”, published in the anthology Všude samá krása (Nothing But Beauty Everywhere, Kher, 2021).
