Renata Kováčová graduated from college in Most, specializing in social and legal activities. After parental leave, she worked for three years at the Regional Charity in Most as a field social worker. Between 2017–2019, she underwent journalist training organized by Romea, then worked as an intern at ROMEA TV and as an external investigative journalist. To the magazine Romano voďi, she has contributed articles about the lyrics of Romani bands, and on the Romea.cz website, published her commentaries on current affairs.
In 2019, she responded to an open literary call from the Kher publishing house and wrote her first short story, Cizí mrtví (The Strange Dead), which was included in the anthology O mulo! Povídky o duchách zemřelých (O mulo! Stories about the Ghosts of the Dead). She writes in Czech.
